Trefondimaginaire by the Artist Pipaul

Artist presentation
Pipaul is a self-taught painter. From an early age, he has always been attracted to drawing, which for him was a way of telling stories. A doorway to unlimited escape and daydreaming. A sort of comfortable bubble.
As he has grown up, he has nurtured this desire to reproduce the ordinary reality that fascinates him. 2008 was a turning point for him in drawing. He began to devote more time to it. He quickly specialised in creating portraits and characters.
In 2011, he took his first steps into the world of painting. He evokes the things that touch him, often with a bit of fantasy thrown in.
He loves immersing himself in this universe and invites you to follow him into the depths of his imagination. You'll meet some intriguing creatures, but don't worry, he'll guide you through these painted alleys.
The Artist's Journey
Inspired by the beauty of the body and influenced by nature, myths, legends and the Orient. The artist transcribes the bubbling life of his proteiform and evolving imaginary inner worlds.

Pictorial Technique
Acrylic paint is applied with a brush or other tools such as a knife or fingers. It can be used 100% or in combination with a combination of other media, such as pastel, ink or collage.
Each colour is unique and is the result of a mixture made from the three primary colours. His palette is therefore full of nuances, carefully applied to the canvas with an eye for detail and the expressiveness of his inner worlds.
Each work is unique, in a modern style that draws on the classics. More often than not, the starting point is an abstract background from which figures emerge, like a bridge between the figurative and the abstract. Sometimes with a clear and precise vision, it is the subject that imposes itself, sometimes it is from abstraction that the image emerges and materialises. Some paintings can even have several interpretations, one visible in broad daylight and another more secret life at night.
