I find this drawing soothing; it reflects a strong connection to nature that we need to rediscover.
The sophisticated figure of the geisha—a traditional icon, somewhat timeless—is the epitome of elegance and harmony. Dressed in her most refined attire and finest finery, she does not hesitate to connect with the earth, becoming one with it. As a title, I composed a short poem in the style of Japanese haiku. As if these were the geisha’s own words.
“Bamboo stalks, in chaotic order _ Wild delight”
An invitation to cultivate the earth and let wild plants grow, viewing them with fresh eyes. The wild can be just as beautiful and refined, whether in nature or on our plates.
