This painting represents the gorgon. A legendary creature with the appearance of a woman with snake hair. In mythology, the gorgon petrifies the living beings of its look.
Here the gorgon comes out of its secret place and petrifies the man who passes on its way. The poor man depicted on his back, is frightened when he sees his skin turning into stone.
This painting has an abstract and green dominant. A tree is planted on the left, other bushes frame the door of the cave from which emerges the monstrous creature that is the gorgon. The original painting has a special treatment that makes it spectacular in the dark because the eyes of the gorgon are illuminated by enigmatic gleams when illuminated with black light. This gives the scene a mysterious and supernatural aspect.
