« La cour Satyrienne » this painting represents a couple seeking to seduce each other. The two characters here represented in Satyres. Half-human, half-goat creatures. The woman is dressed in an extravagant and sublime robe made of gold and countless flowers of all kinds. She has a lascivious hand on her face. The man, of sculptural beauty, sends blue moths to her future bride. The background of this painting is abstract and has a dominant green color. The satyr stretches his arms towards the woman as if to attract her while repelling the butterflies towards her. A shadow from the satyr woman seems to join her suitor. Is it her hairstyle or the extension of her flowery dress? The whole is subject to interpretation and is not reminiscent of the classical figures and canon of beauty that are Adam and Eve in this dance of love.
