“The fine balance” is the title of this painting depicting two characters living in the Gilded Wood, an enchanted forest whose trees have gold leaves and where you can meet any kind of creature among which these two sharp-eared characters.
One of them, facing the distance in a dreamy way, passing his right arm above his head, he occupies the main part of the painting. The other man is painted from behind and raises his left arm to grab the hand of the first character, he looks more determined and confident.
The background of the painting is made of a juxtaposition of a multitude of plant and geometric motifs.
I painted the moment when these two characters, like dancers, hold each other by the fingertips. All remaining frozen in a fine balance to lift each other, or bring down both.
