“Omoinashika, Porte des esprits” is the title of this painting. I wanted to paint here the passage from the world of the living to that of the spirits.
This passage is represented here by a door (a Tori) that can be crossed in both directions.
A cloud of blue birds made up of a clever origami fold dive through the passage to materialize as geisha. This woman dressed in a beautiful kimono takes off in a pastel sky of sublime colors.
