«Omoinashika, Trimard de l'îlot Kamemononofu» is a surrealist and Japanese painting depicting a world turtle carrying a city on its back.
It moves in the air or under water, with the stones of these trips. Around her, three geishas agitate, making tea and music in the pink clouds of the sky.
The head of a Burmese statue and a lotus flower can be seen at the bottom of the work, giving this painting the appearance of a forgotten and engulfed city.
The world turtle is back from his trip (his trimard in old French) and on his arrival, the party gets ready and goes well. The turtle (Kame in Japanese) wears a samurai helmet on his head, the old term to name himself Japanese warrior is «Mononofu».
